Wacky tradition #1 China
Chines pregnancy Restrictions
When a chines couple gets married and enters their home for the first time, the husband is supposed to carry the bride over the threshold but, in chine the husband is also supposed to carry his bride over burning coals, to ensure that she can give birth without any problems.
Then, when she does get pregnant she traditionally faces a host of unusual and surprising bans.
1) She must not gossip
2) She must not laugh too loudly
3) She mustn't get angry or even think bad thoughts
4) She mustn't look at colors that clash
5) She should only eat light foods. ( to create a light colored baby) ( if she choose that)
6) She must NEVER sit on a crooked mat, else the child may be born deformed.
7) She must sleep with a knife under her bed. ( the sharp abject will deter bed spirits)
8) The house must not undergo any construction at any time of the pregnancy.
9) The mother to be absolutely can not have sex.
Wacky tradition #2
Wedding cake on the baby's forehead
Some couples save a bit of their wedding cake for an anniversary, but Irish couples traditionally hold on to theirs for another occasion: the first child's christening. The parents serve the top tier of the cake to guests and sprinkle a few on the child's forehead to bless it with good luck.
A proper Irish wedding cake generally has a fair bit of whiskey. But since a few crumbs of whiskey cake is hardly enough alcohol for an Irish child, couples often save some champane from the wedding along with the cake. they open it at the baptism and use it to wet the happy baby's head.
Wacky tradition #3
My birthday tradition
A tradition we have in my family is that on every ones birthday we have a cupcake fight.

( Life isn't Endless)
Everyone dies and it's not in tell someone dies, when it hits you hard. Death is so painful and powerful, but not just for the person but for the people that are around them. Reading these stories about these people dies really got to me. Some of them were 1-7 and others were 12-20. All of the stories i read was them dieing by getting shot and that made me think why?Why kill someone? A father killing his almost two year old daughter. Friends shooting friends. People shooting themselves. What has this world come to. its really sad to think that at every second someone is dying. ( Life is to short, so live a life that you want, and live every day to the fullest)

Science:How to save Energy

At Yampah Mountain High School they are spending way too much money on electicity that we don’t need. The lighting we have in our school are expensive and we have too much light bulbs in the school. We have 416 T8 light bulbs. There are four in each light case.
One of the biggest problems we have with the lights are when people turn on the lights they don’t turn them off. I think in the class rooms we don’t really need lights on because the windows are normally open so enough light comes in anyway. The light in the hallway I think are fine with staying on but, if we didn’t have so many lights in each light case that would save money.
I think if we take out half of the light bulbs that would save us money. Also if we change the T8 bulbs to the T12 bulbs that would be helpful. This school could really use skylights. Skylights would help us out with so much. From if we don’t remember to turn off the lights, to having less lights. It would bring more light in to this school and brighten up the school more.
I feel like it would be a good idea to have skylight installed in to every classroom and in the large room. The lights in the hallway and down stairs would be fine to keep. Just by taking out most of the light bulbs that would be saving us more money and with that money the school could do more stuff. All in all I feel like skylights ill help us out a lot.

- Wolves have been removed from many ecosystems that once depended on their presence. The ecosystem the wolves live in is mountainous much like Colorado. Deer, elk. Moose. Bear. And mountain lions also live in this ecosystem. When the wolves are removed what happens to the other animals in the system? What happens to the wolf’s prey when the wolves have been removed? How does the removal of wolves impact humans? How does it impact birds? What could be the benefit of reintroducing wolves into this ecosystem?
- When the removal of the wolves in the ecosystem that needs wolves to keep the balance of animals in their area can through everything off. If there are no wolves them the animals that are prey to the wolves will have more babies and have a larger amount then there needs to be. And if there are a lot more bread of animal in an ecosystem that usely doesn’t have that large amount of animal if can more animals to come to that area and that can through everything off. This can also affect people that live in these areas. Farms can and will be affected by this change. If there are no wolves to prey on the animals then there are more likely to attack and hunt on the farm animals. I’m not sure how that will affect the birds in the long run. Reintroducing wolves into this ecosystem will through off the way a little but it will even everything out in the long run.
- Your neighbor likes to wash his car in the driveway. Detergents used to wash his car have phosphates in them. Phosphates that get into lake water can serve as nutrients for algae. Algae will grow until the lake is full of algae, and this reduces the oxygen level in the water to dangerously low levels. What is going to happen in the lake after the algae grows? Your neighbor refuses to stop washing his car in his driveway. Can you develop a plane that allows your neighbor to wash his car and prevent any phosphate pollution entering the lake? Explain and use a diagram.
- If too much algae is growing in the lakes then it will lower the oxygen level in witch case the fish and plants will die off. If the fish and the plants all die off then it affects the wild life that servive off of the water and the food that’s in it.( plants and fish). If the wild life doesn’t have fresh water and food then they will die off and that can affect the ecosystem that they and we live in. also if the fish die off it affects the fisherman and it cuts down food supply for humans. Also if your house is on the water line/ next to the water and the water is no longer fresh and all the fish and plants are die, the value of your house can go down. Now, if your neighbor does not want to stop washing his car in his driveway you can make a drain or a water holder at the end of the driveway. So when his washes his car the water and detergent with drain into the water hold and it will evaporate.
- A coal power plant releases heavy metals into the environment, in this case lots of mercury lands on grass of a cow field. Mercury gets trapped in fat cells until that animal dies. How does this toxic metal get into humans? How does this cause cancer in humans? Explain and draw diagram.
- Mercury gets trapped in fat cells in animals until they die, well if they animal doesn’t die by the time it is ready to be kills and put in stores and its already affected then the human eats it, it can kill humans, get them really sick, and cause cancer. Also, farms being around the animals a lot and the animals being affected can get the farms sick and that can get spread around.
- In the blood of all humans are B-cells. B-cells have on their surface an antibody. Antibodies are protein that bind (stick) to bacteria or viruses. They help the body get rid of infectious agents. Imagine you have a plastic hose that runs blood from your heart into a tank. Inside the tank B-cells get removed from the blood. How? Explain and draw a diagram.
- Now if you have a plastic hose going from your heart to a tank that removes the B-cells from your blood how could that be possible. Well the hose could have little spikes that grab ahold of the B-cells in your blood before it gets to the tank. Or the hose can also have little strainers that will hold back the B-cell before the blood gets to the tank.
- Cattle egrets eat the bugs off cows attaining food and helping the cattle who are annoyed by the bugs. What type of relationship is this? What would the cattle egrets do for food if the people stop herding cows?
- In this relationship both parties are happy. The egrets gets food from the cows and the cows gets the bugs that are annoying them taken off their skin. Now if people stop herding the cows the egrets will run out of food and slowly die off and if that happens the cows will no longer have any help with the bugs that annoy them all day.

- There is racism in a lot of places in everyday life. There is racism in some jobs, in school, and just people talking. Racism is in many jobs and is there where ever you go. I think that racism is a big thing that is happening and it should stop.
- I do not think that racism will ever stop happening. I feel like the only reason racism is a thing that does happen in my lifetime is because, everyone is so judgmental and people always have something to say about everyone else. I think that the only way racism will ever stop is if people stop judging others on their skin color.
- The thing that had the biggest impact on me and how I think is the shootings. What I mean by that is all the blacks that have been shoot because of the color of their skin. It shows how little people think and act to others.
- I think everything was pretty good in this class. I liked how we talked about everything instead of just looking at something and moving on to something else. I didn’t like how we watched videos of people being racist. It wasn’t something I liked and everything else what great.
